Yellowstone’s Northeast entrance, close to the towns of Cooke City and Silver Gate, was constructed in 1935 in a rustic style that was becoming emblematic of national park architecture. In our humble opinion, the best Yellowstone Tours enter the park here and leave from Red Lodge Montana.

Lamar Valley is often called "America’s Serengeti" for its large and easy-to-see populations of large animals. We plan our Yellowstone tours to be here in the morning and evening - when the animals are active. Among Lamar Valley's most famous inhabitants are the Junction Butte and Lamar Canyon wolf packs. Other animals roaming the Lamar Valley include large herds of bison, pronghorn, badgers, grizzly bears, bald eagles, osprey, deer, and coyotes.

The beauty of the landscape led Congress to create Yellowstone National Park, the country's and world's first national park, in 1872. Tower fall plunges a stunning 132 feet with unusual rock columns north that were created by lava flow that cracked as it cooled.

GRAND CANYON

Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone Tours Upper Loop Wildlife and photo tours Red

The awe inspiring Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River expresses the park's complex geologic history in dramatic colors and shapes. Puffs of steam mark hydrothermal features in the canyon's walls.
The Upper and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone River add to the grandeur of this unique natural treasure that draws people from all over the world.

UPPER FALLS

Upper Falls Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone Tours Upper Loop Wildlife and photo tours Red Lodg

The Upper Falls of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is neither as tall nor as popular as Lower Falls, but the 109' waterfall certainly merits a visit, as it is impressive in its own right. This falls was called the “upper falls” for the first time by members of the 1869 Folsom party who estimated its height at 115 feet.

Visitors to the Brink of the Upper Falls have throughout time found the power of the experience worthy of detailed description.

LOWER FALLS

Lower Falls Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone Tours Upper Loop Wildlife and photo tours Red Lodg

At 308' tall the Lower Falls is undoubtedly one of the parks most popular attractions and is a must-stop spot on all Yellowstone tours. We will visit the brink of the falls and view it from several stunning locations including Artist Point and Lookout Point.

Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest, oldest, and most dynamic of Yellowstone's thermal areas. We will explore the location of the world's tallest active geyser, colorful hot springs, and microscopic life in one of the most extreme environments on earth.

MAMMOTH

Mammoth Hot Springs Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone Tours Wildlife and photo Red Lodge Montana

Mammoth Hot Springs are a must-see feature of Yellowstone mainly because they’re so different from other thermal areas in the park. This is largely because limestone is a relatively soft type of rock, allowing the travertine formations to grow much faster than other formations.
